Growing up, my mama made a layered jello dessert that was so much fun. SO much fun!
This is a variation on that ... and fun (recipes are ALL over the blogosphere .. who knows who gets original credit).

Broken Glass Jello ... what you need :
4 small boxes of jello, different colors (or if you live in Delhi, it's called Jell-Y ??)
1 (14oz) can sweetened condensed milk
2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
water
Dissolve each box of jello separately, into one cup of hot water. Pour into individual containers (small tupperware works well) and chill overnight.
Set a 9×13 pan to the side.
Cut flavors of jello into small blocks.
Mix together carefully in pan.
In a separate bowl, dissolve 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin in 1/4 cup cold water. Add dissolved gelatin to 1 3/4 cup hot water and condensed milk. Cool.
Pour cooled milk mixture over jello and chill overnight.
Layered Jello ... what you need ::
4 packages Jello (3 oz each)
6 envelopes unflavored gelatin
1 cup sweetened condensed milk
Mix the condensed milk with 1 cup hot water. Set aside.
Mix 2 envelopes gelatin with 1 cup hot water; combine with milk mixture and set aside
Combine first flavor of Jello, 1 envelope Knox gelatin and 1-1/2 cups hot water. Cool, then pour into a 9×13 glass pan. Place in refrigerator to set for about 30 minutes.
Then, pour 1 cup of the milk mixture for the next layer. Refrigerate to set for about 15-25 minutes.
Combine the next flavor of Jello, 1 envelope Knox gelatin and 1-1/2 cup hot water. Cook, and pour carefully over the milk mixture, then place in the fridge for another 15 minutes, or until set.
Once set, add another cup of milk mixture.
Repeat with the third flavor of Jello (repeat the earlier steps).
Repeat with the milk mixture.
Repeat with your final flavor. and SET.
DELICIOUS !!!!!!
The beauty of this layered recipe is that you can choose colors that relate to the celebration. Blue, red and white for 4th of July. Red, green and white for Christmas. Pastels for Easter ... you get the drift! Have fun with it!
